Favorite Photo Friday

Everyone,

My favorite picture of the week. PhotobucketAnd I've got a few really great ones. My flash is finally working (with new batteries) and I've had a lot of photo opportunities this week. Also this week: yogurt. I made yogurt in my crock pot with this recipe. It is great and tastes awful because there is no sugar or anything sweet in it. But, with a little honey or syrup and some fruit, I love it!

It calls for a half gallon of milk, but now I have a half gallon of yogurt and really...we don't eat that much. So now I'm trying to think of things to use yogurt in. Any ideas?

Butterfly had an idea of something to use the yogurt with. Face painting!

  1. Oh my! That is very creative! Maybe you can turn part of it into frozen yogurt?

  2. Here is a recipe that calls for yogurt, we actually had these this week and they were pretty good.

    Kids Ritzy Chicken Fingers

    * 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips, thawed
    * 2 cups crushed ritz crackers
    * 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
    * 2 tsp. garlic salt
    * 1 tsp. seasoned salt
    * 1 cup plain yogurt
    * 1/4 cup butter, melted (optional)

    Combine crushed crackers, parmesan cheese, garlic salt and seasoned salt in a shallow dish. Pat chicken dry and coat with yogurt. Dip each piece into crumb mixture and arrange in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over top, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

    See ya, Camille

  3. That is hilarious!! Hmmm....yogurt can be used in a lot of recipes. You use it in place of sour cream...or make a really moist cake with it! Hmmm...half a gallon is a lot!

    I'm SO glad to know that your flash is working. I was really getting worried yesterday when it was acting up.

  4. My mom wrote a book called 101 Things to Do with Yogurt. My favorite is the cheeseball! It's on Amazon, but she might have an extra copy, I'll have to ask.
