Remember I said I hit the jackpot? Yeah...

Everyone,

So a few days ago I blogged about how I thought I hit the twin jackpot because we had such easy going boys? And remember how I said it would probably change because that is just blogging karma?

Totally true.

Saturday night, the boys were up every. single. hour. Maybe I should say that I was up every single hour. The boys at least got some 2 hour shifts in there. They were off an hour so every hour I was up with one of them. I thought maybe I had gotten their sleep schedule off or something. It was a purely awful night. Juice was very helpful, if a little annoyed at the boys. I was just happy it was a weekend and he was home and willing to be woken up.

We did make it to church the next day. A little late, and all three kids were in tears. But we made it! Ugh. I had Professor on my lap laying down and he bent his head back to look at something Butterfly was doing and I got a flash of white. Wait...what was that?

Teeth. Two new ones. On the top. Ah ha! That would explain his horrible sleeping. But what about Pirate? Why was he such a terrible sleeper? I immediately stuck my finger in his mouth, much to his chagrin. My finger scraped on one tiny little tooth on the bottom. It's there. It's hurting. It's just not clearing the gum line. His little gums are so swollen and he is drooling up a storm.

They both went to bed at 4:45pm yesterday and slept until 10pm, 3am, and 7am. A much better night for me. But today I'm feeling it. I think I may go to bed early. They did again today.

Lesson learned. I am never going to blog about how wonderful the kids are again. Who am I kidding. I probably will tomorrow!

  1. Oh, boy. I feel your pain! I am sorry they've had a few rough nights. I hope those teeth stop bugging them (and you!)

I hear you! My kids always make a liar out of me. Just a few months ago I was bragging to friends how easy and sweet natured Georgia was ... overnight ... HELL on wheels.

I hope things get better for you soon and those cuties let you get some sleep.

  3. Yeah chompers! Once they're in it's all good...it just while they are coming in that stinks for the mom.
